New readings added for fall 2015!

I've started to update the Readings page here on the site with everything schedule for early fall 2015. Here's what I've added so far:
  • September 18th, 7pm, at Indy Reads Bookstore, 911 Mass Ave. in Indianapolis. Book release reading.
  • September 21st, 4pm, at Eastern Illinois University
  • October 6th, 6pm, at the Wick Poetry Center, Kent State University with Jane Hirschfield
  • November 3rd, 7pm, at the Wit Rabbit Reading Series, Chicago, IL
  • November 5th, with Caleb Curtiss and Charlotte Pence at the Seminary Coop Bookstore in Chicago, IL
Of course this is a very incomplete list, and many more readings will be added (both for fall and spring) as they are confirmed!

First book catalog page

Some really exciting news: the catalog page for my first book is now up at Kent State University Press, complete with blurbs! No cover art yet, but sometime in the spring we should have that finalized. Pre-orders are available now, and the book is set to drop on September 1st of next year.

Book update: new title!

Just a quick update on book progress:

The editing and shaping process has been wonderful thus far. I think we're close to a final version. The big news is that the book will have a new title: Translation.

This was the original title, many years ago, prior to playing about with dozens of others. It feels most appropriate to the intuitions and content of the collection, so I'm really excited to officially be returning to it.

More updates soon!

2014 Stan & Tom Wick Poetry Prize

So excited to be able to formally announce that my first full-length collection, No Epithets, has been selected by Jane Hirschfield as the winner of the 2014 Wick Poetry Prize. The book will be published in the fall of 2015. I'm honored to be part of the Wick Poetry family, and to have a chance to read with Jane Hirschfield that same fall at Kent State University.

Much more to follow in the coming months!
